How to Prevent Water Damage

Once you realize that a roof leak is occurring, cover anything that water can damage. Use plastic to do so. These items include furniture, electronics, or any other valuables. Cover anything that you know would be expensive or a hindrance to replace.

How to Contain the Water

To help with a leaky roof, put a bucket or waterproof container to catch or contain the water. If you notice that the water is splashing, place a T-shirt inside of the bucket to absorb the moisture. You can also try pinning a long string near the ceiling so that the water has a direct path into the bucket. If the paint on your ceiling bubbles, it’s most likely due to water retention. To release the water, pop the bubble so that the water drops into the bucket. If you can’t control the water, call us right away. We serve Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Harford County, Howard County, Anne Arundel County, and Carroll County. No job is too insignificant or severe, not even a leaky roof.

Contact Your HOA

Typically, your HOA will cover roof damage. It’s always best to be sure. Call them right away to get a full understanding of the details.
